Hi everyone! I'm here today with the red book tag, created by the amazing Nashita!
Thank you to both Nashita and Ash for tagging me!
This tag is inspired by Taylor Swift's album, Red, and the questions are based on her songs. As a Taylor Swift fan and booklover, I can't wait to get into this post!
Rules of the tag(as written on the original post):
Link back to original post.
Thank the person who tagged you and link their post.
Tag 4 people because 1+3=4. (Taylor’s number is 13 and hence)
Here's the link to the orginal post on Books and Brownies!

1. Red- A Red book that you love with a burning passion
“Rachel: You're a half-blood, too?
Annabeth: Shhh! Just announce it to the world, how about?
Rachel: Okay. Hey, everybody! These two aren't human! They're half Greek god!...They don't seem to care.”
I loved this book! - and the entire Percy Jackson series!
The characters are amazing, the plot is interesting and it's so entertaining and binge-worthy that I almost can't stop reading it!
2. I Knew You Were Trouble – A book you knew would cause you emotional trauma
“...Despite the mayhem that followed, Bruno found that he was still holding Shmuel's hand in his own and nothing in the world would have persuaded him to let go.”
😭😭😭😭
This book was so beautiful and so sad at the same time. I knew before I even started this from other people, that it would probably make me cry, but I still wasn't prepared.
3. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together – A book you’ve cut ties with
“The universe stops and waits for us.”
This is one of my unpopular opinions for sure, because so many people love this book, while I on the other hand, gave it two stars. For a while, I almost considered rereading it to see if I missed something, but then I realized that I just don't like this book.
I read this quite a long time ago, so I don't remember everything, but I remember that this entire novel happened in the course of 24 HOURS!!
There are soo many coincidences in this book and it felt very very unlikely that this would happen. I could possibly put that aside if I liked everything else about it, but I didn't. The dialogue felt dramatic and overly sweet and I just couldn't get into it.
I liked that there were diverse characters and that it addressed social and racial issues. Also the cover! It's so pretty and full of color.
But I stand by my rating, and I'm not planning to reread this again, even if other people like it.
4. I Almost Do – A book(/series) you know is trash, but you love it anyway
I'm not trying to be mean to my younger self, but by many people's standards, this may be considered as trash. It's very light and not very thought-provoking, and the writing isn't amazing, but I LOVED this series when I was younger. It was so fun and I could relate to Nikki a bit, so I still will probably read the next book. I want to finish the series, even if it may not be super good quality compared to what I read now, cause I'm not going to lie it's kind of fun! Annnd I can read it in less than an hour so...
5. All Too Well – A book you remember everything about
“It's been my experience that you can nearly always enjoy things if you make up your mind firmly that you will.”
Since this book is one of my all-time-favorites, and I have a copy at home, I remember mostly everything that happened in this book. I've also been watching the Netflix show Anne with an E and being the reader I am, I kept comparing what I remember from the book to the show, and the refreshed my memory some more.
6. Begin Again – A book that got you out of a slump
hmmm....this may be hard to believe but I don't remember ever being in a slump before. It might have happened, but if it did, I don't remember it so I can't answer this question. Sorry!
Ok, moving on!
7. Everything has Changed – A book you knew you would love at the first sight
“Welcome, welcome to Caraval! The grandest show on land or by sea. Inside you’ll experience more wonders than most people see in a lifetime. You can sip magic from a cup and buy dreams in a bottle. But before you fully enter into our world, you must remember it’s all a game.”
This seemed for the start like just the type of book I would love. A magical and entrancing fantasy book with suspense and mystery! And my prediction turned out to be right because I really enjoyed this and it became one my favorites.
