Review: My rating: 4 stars

I have somewhat mixed feelings about this book, so it’s kind of hard to review. There were so many things that I really enjoyed but there were also somethings that I didn’t like about it. The first three chapters were really gripping and I couldn’t put the book down, but the middle started to get just a little bit dry. But let me tell you this, it gets better! As the book went on, things started to get exciting really fast. Despite this minor setback in the middle of the book, there were a lot of things I enjoyed. One of the things that stood out to me was how even though there was one main mystery, there were also smaller bonus mysteries which were all very intriguing. This book did an awesome job of weaving excerpts from Dee’s podcast “Radio Silent” into the plot so that it felt perfect.

And I found that the flashbacks to seven-year-old Dee and Sibby playing in the forest added a lot to the story as well. As I was reading I found myself wanting to know more about what really happened that day. Honestly, that’s probably what kept me going. And I’m definitely glad I did, cause WOW that ending was good. I’m not going to tell you anything else cause you have to read it to find out! Overall, this was a suspenseful read that I recommend to anyone who loves mysteries.
