Whenever people ask me about my favorite books, I always seem to blank out, because as a book lover, I can't possibly choose just one, so here are a few of my faves,
1. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
Summary: When Alice sees a white rabbit take a watch out of its waistcoat pocket she decides to follow it, and a sequence of most unusual events is set in motion.
My thoughts: This is definitely my favorite fairytale/classic of all time. I've read it more times than I can remember and each time it's an amazing experience. Lewis Carroll's world of nonsense is a world that I can easily fall into and enjoy.
2. Smile
Summary: Raina just wants to be a normal sixth grader. But one night after Girl Scouts she trips and falls, severely injuring her two front teeth, and what follows is a long and frustrating journey with on-again, off-again braces, surgery, embarrassing headgear, and even a retainer with fake teeth attached. And on top of all that, there’s still more to deal with: a major earthquake, boy confusion, and friends who turn out to be not so friendly. This coming-of-age true story is sure to resonate with anyone who has ever been in middle school, and especially those who have ever had a bit of their own dental drama.
My thoughts: I've read this books more than an hundred times, probably at least 5 times a month. Rain Telegmeier art style combined with her story, are just so delightful, that it's probably my favorite graphic novel that I've read so far.
3. Harry Potter
Overview: Harry Potter is a series of novels by J.K. Rowling. It is about a young boy named Harry Potter and his adventures as he attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, learns how to perform magic and comes face to face with his archenemy, Lord Voldemort.
My Thoughts: I know, I know, this is kinda cliche, but I LOVE the Harry Potter series, and I've read them, and listened to the audiobooks multiple times. Sadly, I still haven't watched the movies, but it's definitely something that I need to do, along with visiting harry potter world, and buying more merchandise,
I have sooo many more books that I like, and it was hard to choose just 3, but if I said all of my favorites, this list would go on forever.
